Appreciate
the splendor of Monte Rosa, the Bernese and Vallese
Alps as seen from the top of Switzerland's sunniest
mountain.The funicular, which has been restored
to the original 1912 design, leaves every 30 minutes
from 09.15 to 12.05, and from 13.45 to 18.35 (From
June 15th to September 30th also through lunchtime).
Various restaurants and panoramic terraces await
you at the top (933m). With only a short walk you
can explore a charming village that has conserved
its traditional old "Ticinese" character
and style. The village is enriched by its refined
"Art trail", by the frescoes of Birò
and Luigi Taddei, the Pasquale Gilardi sculptures
and the Wilhelm Schmid Museum.
