The idea of the Olive Tree Path was conceived of by the "Friends of the Olive Tree" association in collaboration with the Fund of Naturalistic and Archeological Sites in Gandria (F.SNAG) belonging to the Foundation of the ltalian speaking Swifzerland for Scientific Research and University Studies (F.SIRSSU). The Olive Tree Path is marked in red on the brochure. Those who start their journey in Gandria, in connection with San Domenico have two options: Tour A takes you towards the west and reaches the old Municipal Building of Castagnola climbing up towards the "Viottolo delle Agavi." Tour B takes you up to the Olive Tree Park and reaches the "Flower Path" (Sentiero dei Fiori) before it connects with Tour A in Via Discepoli following a short part on the canton's street.
