A THRILLING RIDE UP MONTE BRÈ
The Monte Brè Funicular has been part of Lugano’s history since 1908. It takes you to the summit of Monte Brè (933 m.a.s.l.) in just over 10 minutes, covering a total distance of 1,599 meters.
Renowned as the sunniest mountain in Switzerland, the Brè is characterized by its breath-taking views of the lake and the surrounding mountains: an ideal destination for a pleasant escape from the city.
Once you’ve taken the Funicular to the summit of Monte Brè, you can choose between numerous activities. Hiking or mountain biking, walking tours immersed in nature or discovering the characteristic artistic legacy around the small village of Brè, take a rest on the spots for a picnic, or discover the restaurants with typical regional cuisine.
